Our client, a fast-growing telecommunications provider, is looking for a skilled Network Operations Engineer to join their fully remote team. This position is crucial for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization, coupled with the ability to thrive in a distributed work environment. Responsibilities: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and service delivery. Install, configure, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Implement and manage network security measures to protect against threats. Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Perform regular network capacity planning and performance tuning. Respond to network alerts and incidents, providing timely resolution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new service deployments and network upgrades. Design and implement network solutions based on business requirements. Conduct root cause analysis for network outages and performance degradations. Manage network infrastructure using various monitoring and management tools. Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry best practices. Participate in on-call rotation for network emergencies. Automate network tasks and deployments where possible. Ensure compliance with network policies and standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience in network operations or engineering. In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies. Experience with network security principles and firewalls. Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds). Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for network automation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable. Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus. Understanding of telecommunications industry standards and practices.
