Our client, a global leader in telecommunications infrastructure, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Network Operations Engineer to join their fully remote operations center. This critical role will involve monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a complex network environment to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and resolving network issues proactively, implementing network changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support network growth and reliability. Key responsibilities include: Proactively monitoring network performance and availability using advanced network management tools. Diagnosing and resolving network incidents and problems in a timely and efficient manner. Implementing and managing network configuration changes and upgrades. Performing root cause analysis for network outages and performance degradation. Collaborating with engineering and support teams to ensure seamless network operations. Developing and maintaining network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies. Participating in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 network support. Ensuring network security best practices are implemented and maintained. Assisting in the planning and deployment of new network infrastructure. Evaluating and recommending new network technologies and solutions. Generating regular reports on network performance, incidents, and key metrics. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations, network engineering, or a similar role is required. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security concepts is essential. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG) and network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark) is mandatory. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are required. Candidates must be self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working effectively in a fully remote team environment. The location for this remote role is **Minna, Niger, NG**.
