As part of the Center of Competence Security, you and your colleagues will be responsible for the engineering, automation, and operation of all Network Security platforms in the SBB data network. In your exciting role as Network Security Engineer (m/w/d), you will help to provide our customers with the data network as the backbone of SBB, ensuring it is secure and highly available.

What You'll Do

• You are responsible for the technical development of technologically complex and highly networked Network Security platforms.
• You support the technical project management by creating decision-making bases for the introduction of new security components.
• In your role, you ensure that the required operational quality and availability are met in accordance with SLA/OLA specifications and are responsible for the operational implementation of change management in the systems in the specialist area.
• In the event of disruptions, you take responsibility for 2nd-level support/on-call duty and provide standby service.

What You Bring

• As a communicative and integrating personality, you feel comfortable in a team and find it easy to approach different people.
• You are motivated to familiarize yourself with new areas and are interested in new technologies.
• Solid network and firewall knowledge, log analysis, and network troubleshooting skills are prerequisites for this position.
• You have gained experience with DDoS, RAS, IPS, and SIEM systems in your previous career.
• Further experience in Security Engineering, in-depth knowledge of other security platforms, and experience in larger zone environments are advantageous.
• You possess fluent German and good English skills. Knowledge of another national language is a plus.
