For a respected company in Kriens, we are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer (m/f/d) on behalf of our client, who actively shapes, secures, and further develops modern networks.

Your Responsibilities

• Planning, implementation, and monitoring of secure network solutions in complex enterprise and cloud environments
• Administration and optimization of next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), and load balancers
• Introduction, operation, and maintenance of Network Access Control (NAC) as well as VPN and remote access solutions
• Analysis of network traffic and security incidents using NetFlow, PCAPs, and log data for continuous improvement of the security architecture
• Contribution to the design of emergency and recovery concepts as well as implementation of hardening and redundancy strategies

Your Profile

• Completed degree or a qualified apprenticeship in IT, network security, or a comparable field
• Sound practical experience in enterprise networking, especially with routing protocols like OSPF and BGP, as well as firewall and security configuration
• Ideally, knowledge in cloud security (e.g., Azure NSG, AWS VPC Security Groups) and experience with automation technologies
• Familiarity with common security frameworks such as NIST or CIS Controls, as well as network analysis tools
• Strong sense of responsibility, structured way of thinking, and proactive approach
