Network Software Architect

Overview

• This role will start of part time 10-20 hours a week to start and can increase hours as the product is developed.
• Role will be Hybrid, mainly remote with on site meetings and testing

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Science (CS). An Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) is strongly preferred.
• 10 years of proven success at a major networking vendor (e.g., Cisco, Arista, Juniper) or within an elite AI/HPC infrastructure team
• Deep expertise in Ethernet, Layer 2/3, TCP/IP, and high-performance packet routing.
• Hands-on experience with C, and Python
• Proficiency in building secure APIs, SSH interfaces, and management planes.
• Experience leading a team
• Experience with creating a product roadmap and product fit

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of networking appliance to integrate seamlessly with 25G to 800G Ethernet infrastructures.
• Ensure native communication with enterprise controllers like
  • Cisco ACI
  • Arista CloudVision; design secure APIs for standard monitoring tools.
• Translate customer operational needs into requirements for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams.
• Design "Instant-On" connectivity and fast-failover trigger logic (using MLAG and ECMP) to protect against physical Line of Sight (LoS) obstructions.
• Build
  • Secure Shell (SSH)
  • Command Line Interface (CLI) management layer
