Role Summary
The Network Support Engineer – L3 will act as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for premium network environment. This role is responsible for handling complex network incidents, problem management, firewall governance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across a mission‑critical enterprise network.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead resolution of L3 network incidents and perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) • Design, review, and implement complex network and firewall changes • Act as SME for: • Cisco LAN/WAN, Wireless, and SD-WAN technologies • Cisco and Fortinet (FortiGate) firewall platforms • Perform advanced firewall troubleshooting including: • Policy optimization • NAT, VPN, and traffic flow analysis • Utilize SolarWinds and Cisco DNA Center for proactive monitoring and network assurance • Drive problem management and preventive initiatives to improve network stability • Maintain, enhance, and review runbooks, SOPs, and network documentation • Support security audits, compliance activities, and customer reviews • Coordinate with Cisco TAC and Fortinet TAC as required • Mentor L2 engineers and provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer • Participate in architecture reviews and network optimization discussions

• ServiceNow (ITSM, Problem & Change Management) • Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) • SolarWinds • Cisco DNA Center • Cisco Firepower / ASA • Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls • SD-WAN Technologies
Required Skills • Strong expertise in Routing & Switching (OSPF, BGP, STP) • Advanced wireless network design and troubleshooting experience • Deep hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet firewall platforms • Experience supporting premium or mission-critical enterprise networks • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Certifications • CCNA / CCNP (Enterprise or Security) • Fortinet and SD-WAN certifications (preferred) • ITIL Foundation
