Insurance Coverage Associate
We Are Legal Revolution
About the role
About
A highly regarded Chambers-recognised boutique is looking to add an Insurance Coverage Associate to its growing team. This is a standout opportunity for an attorney who wants to specialise in complex insurance coverage work within a firm that combines high-level expertise with a genuinely supportive and flexible environment.
The firm is known for its specialist focus in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, representing major insurers in sophisticated, high-value disputes. Despite its boutique size, it consistently competes with much larger firms on the quality and complexity of its work.
Why this role stands out
- Top-tier specialist boutique – recognised in the market for its strength in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation
- Fully remote – true flexibility without sacrificing quality of work or career progression
- High-quality, complex matters – work on nuanced coverage disputes, advisory work, and litigation in state and federal courts
- Strong mentoring culture – direct access to experienced partners and structured coaching from senior stakeholders
- Clear partnership track – transparent progression with real opportunity to advance within a growing platform
- Lean team, real responsibility – no getting lost in layers; your work and contributions are visible
The Role
You will focus on insurance coverage litigation and advisory work, including:
- Third-party insurance coverage disputes
- Policy analysis and coverage opinions
- Litigation in state and federal courts
- Drafting dispositive motions, coverage analyses, and client reports
- Working directly with insurer clients on strategy and resolution
This is an ideal role for someone who wants to deepen their expertise in insurance coverage and build a long-term career in a highly specialised area.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 (depending on experience)
- Bonuses: Structured bonus scheme after hitting 1800 hours, with multiple payout points per year (including October and December)
Benefits:
- Medical (base plan fully covered)
- Dental & vision (100% covered)
- Life insurance + long/short-term disability covered
- 401(k) with match after 1 year

What they are looking for
- 3–6 years’ experience (strong 2+ years also considered)
- Background in insurance coverage (third-party coverage litigation/advisory)
- Experience in California state and/or federal litigation
- California Bar admission
Why a candidate would want this role:
- Build a true niche specialism in insurance coverage
- Join a firm with a strong market reputation despite its boutique size
- Work remotely without compromising on career progression or quality of work
- Get direct mentorship and visibility rather than being one of many associates
- Clear pathway to partnership and long-term growth
Location
- Fully Remote (California-based candidates preferred)
