About
An NGO client is looking for an experienced and resourceful NEW Business Development Manager to develop and implement growth opportunities in existing and new markets. We're searching for professionals who have a solid track record of creating long-term value for organisations within NGO or a related sector.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related fields.
- A master’s degree is advantageous.
- 8-10+ years working experience in Business Development with some exposure to the NGO market
- Must have strong, proven track record in sales NOT in PRODUCT environments
- Someone who has managed the end-to-end Finance and Selling Operations
- Practical experience in managing finances, accounting, budgeting, control and reporting.
- People management is essential
- Knowledge of the South African market
- Knowledge of the SA macroeconomic and microeconomic fundamentals
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of B-BBEE legislation and policy an advantage
- Experience in rolling out implementation of a CRM tool advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets
- Researching, developing and building a pipeline strategy
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals
- Analysing data and using to create sales and renewals strategies
- Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements and achieve sales and revenue targets
- Meeting or exceeding annual sales goals
- Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using CRM software
- Planning and forecasting of business development plans
- Financial Budgeting and control of finances in a sales context
