Node Backend Developer (Express)

About

As a Node Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic for a next-generation healthcare platform.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Express

• Developing microservices architecture for scalable and maintainable backend systems

• Optimizing database queries and enhancing performance of existing systems

• Working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB

• Integrating with third-party services and APIs like hospital systems and insurance platforms

• Ensuring adherence to healthcare security standards (HIPAA, GDPR, ABDM, etc.)

• Collaborating with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers

• Documenting APIs, services, and system architecture

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js

• Strong proficiency with Express.js framework and RESTful API design

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL

• Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and version control systems (Git)

• Strong problem-solving abilities, debugging skills, and communication skills

• 2+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js

• Strong proficiency with Express.js framework and RESTful API design

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL

• Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and version control systems (Git)

• Strong problem-solving abilities, debugging skills, and communication skills

Nice to Have

It would be nice to have experience with AI/ML integration, familiarity with healthcare or insurance industry applications, knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and understanding of event-driven architecture and message queues like Kafka, RabbitMQ.
