Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Nurse Manager who brings both clinical expertise and business acumen to a multifaceted leadership role. This position uniquely combines clinical oversight, client relationship management, talent acquisition, and credentialing operations—perfect for a nurse leader ready to expand beyond traditional bedside or unit management into the dynamic healthcare staffing industry.
You'll be instrumental in growing our client base, building strong candidate pipelines, and ensuring every placement meets the highest standards of compliance and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Quality Oversight
- Provide clinical consultation and professional guidance to placed nursing staff throughout their assignments
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on scope of practice, clinical competencies, and specialty requirements
- Review and assess clinical qualifications to ensure appropriate candidate-client matching
- Conduct quality checks and performance follow-ups with placed clinicians and client facilities
- Address clinical concerns or questions from clients and staff in real-time
Client Relations & Business Development
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with healthcare facility decision-makers (nurse managers, HR directors, DONs)
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities through networking, outreach, and referrals
- Conduct needs assessments with clients to understand staffing requirements, unit culture, and scheduling needs
- Lead or support contract negotiations and service agreement discussions
- Achieve monthly/quarterly client acquisition and revenue targets
- Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategy and competitive positioning
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Source, screen, and interview RNs, LPNs, and allied health professionals across multiple specialties
- Manage full recruitment cycle: initial contact, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and placement
- Build and maintain active candidate pipelines through job boards, social media, referrals, and networking
- Conduct reference checks and evaluate clinical competency and cultural fit
- Coordinate onboarding logistics including orientation scheduling and assignment briefings
- Maintain regular communication with candidates to ensure engagement and satisfaction
Credentialing & Compliance Management
- Own end-to-end credentialing process: collect, verify, and maintain all required documentation
- Verify and track RN/LPN licenses, certifications (BLS, ACLS, specialty certs), immunizations, and references
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state regulations, client-specific requirements, and federal guidelines
- Maintain organized credentialing files with expiration tracking and proactive renewal reminders
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and health clearances
- Audit credentialing files regularly to ensure 100% compliance readiness
Pay
$93,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
