A dynamic Construction environment is looking for an experienced OHS Agent to take ownership of health and safety across multiple civil and building projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on ensuring compliance, mitigating risks and maintaining the highest safety standards on-site. This opportunity is perfect for someone who is passionate about safety in construction, working closely with project teams, identifying risks before they become issues and ensuring projects run safely and efficiently from start to finish.
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Safety Management
- SACPCMP registration (non-negotiable)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction health & safety
- Proven experience across civil and multidisciplinary projects (roads, buildings, municipal works)
- Strong knowledge of design and construction safety requirements
- Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor health & safety compliance across design and construction phases
- Conduct monthly site audits and continuous safety monitoring
- Identify and mitigate risks across multiple projects
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation and standards
- Work closely with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to enforce safety protocols
- Compile and maintain safety reports and documentation
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites
