About

The OD Talent Recruiter contributes to the AEG Vision team by recruiting and placing outstanding medical talent in our practices. The OD Talent Recruiter reports to the Director, Doctor Recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits Doctor of Optometry to ensure professional optometric coverage in our practices.
  • Communicates regularly with Human Resources (People Operations), Regional Directors of Eyecare, District Managers, Regional VP’s, and other senior level executives to communicate status of open & filled positions, hiring trends as well as providing insight on future hires and the short-term and long-term strategies for hiring.
  • Builds a robust network of ready now candidates across the US in anticipation of future growth, expansions, and openings.
  • Develops local and national marketing campaigns to promote our positions to current licensed optometrists through various methods, including direct mail, web research, market analysis and in-person or phone cold calling.
  • Establishes relationships with Universities to attract and secure graduating talent to AEG Vision.
  • Interviews and assesses the qualifications of the candidate optometrist while providing various pertinent information including topics such as salary, benefits, and contractual requirements.
  • Attends and manages national industry events for AEG Vision to communicate and market itself to optometry talent.

Requirements

    • years of professional level recruiting, Healthcare or retail experience preferred.
  • Knowledge or relationships with retail optometrists and the industry in general are preferred.
  • Strong verbal/written communication abilities; effective interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Manages multiple assignments, sets priorities, and adapts to changing conditions and work assignments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Doctor of Optometry preferred; not required
