About the role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Manager / Bookkeeper to support daily office operations and oversee core accounting and administrative functions. This is a fully onsite role in West Chester, PA, ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats in a small-to-mid-sized business environment.
This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes
- Utilize QuickBooks for data entry, reconciliations, and financial tracking
- Pull and prepare financial and payroll-related reports as needed
- Perform accurate and timely data entry across accounting and administrative systems
Payroll Support
- Coordinate with an external payroll service (Payroll Factory)
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time for salaried and hourly employees
- Review payroll reports and verify accuracy before and after processing
Office Management & Administrative Support
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Manage and stock office supplies and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Provide general administrative and office support to ensure smooth daily operations
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience as an Office Manager, Bookkeeper, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Working knowledge of AR/AP and payroll processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable handling both accounting tasks and front-office responsibilities
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently in an onsite environment
