Oilseed Rape (OSR) Program Manager

Location

Verneuil-l'Étang, near Marne-la-Vallée and Paris, France

Contract

Permanent (CDI)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, direct, implement and control the short-, mid- and long-term research breeding strategy and activities for the Western European OSR program.
  • Define the short-, medium- and long-term objectives of the breeding program and the target portfolio with development and marketing teams.
  • Develop the breeding strategy and germplasm structuration to sustain Limagrain's leadership in OSR portfolio.
  • Represent Limagrain and engage with internal and external partners on scientific topics of interest.
  • Lead a team of breeders and technicians and collaborate with peers for resource coordination.
  • Prepare and follow budgets and investments for the OSR breeding program in France.

Profile

  • Enjoy working outdoors and close to crops.
  • Committed and hardworking.
  • Qualified professional (Ph.D/M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences) with 5+ years of experience in Plant Breeding, Quantitative Genetics, Agronomy and/or Seed Industry.

Additional Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of breeding theory, data analysis and molecular technologies.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in line and hybrid development work.
  • Eagerness to lead change and adopt new technologies and breeding schemes.
  • Ability to use software for data analyses, management, presentation, and reporting.
  • Good leadership, management, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in French and English (oral and written).
