Online Course Developer - Computer Science

Our client, a forward-thinking online learning platform dedicated to providing high-quality educational content, is seeking a talented Online Course Developer specializing in Computer Science to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial in creating engaging, comprehensive, and up-to-date digital courses that cater to learners at various skill levels. You will be responsible for curriculum design, content creation, multimedia integration, and ensuring the pedagogical effectiveness of the courses. The ideal candidate is an expert in computer science principles and possesses strong instructional design skills.

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop engaging online course content for various computer science topics (e.g., programming, data structures, algorithms, AI, cybersecurity). Create learning objectives, course outlines, lesson plans, and assessment strategies. Develop high-quality course materials, including video scripts, interactive exercises, quizzes, assignments, and readings. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and pedagogical soundness. Incorporate multimedia elements (videos, animations, simulations) to enhance learning experiences. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to build and manage course structures. Ensure courses are accessible and adhere to universal design for learning (UDL) principles. Review and revise existing course content to keep it current and relevant. Conduct instructional design research to stay updated on best practices in online education. Provide support and guidance to instructors delivering the courses. Evaluate course effectiveness through student feedback and performance data. Maintain project timelines and deliver high-quality course materials on schedule. This is a fully remote position, offering unparalleled flexibility to work from anywhere. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. Proven experience in developing online courses, particularly in computer science. Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and current industry trends. Proficiency in instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM). Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate). Excellent content creation and writing skills. Experience with multimedia production (video editing, graphic design) is a plus. Strong understanding of adult learning principles. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
