What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a critical role in delivering world-class IT support and maintaining robust, secure, and high-performing systems.
IT Operations & Support
- Be the frontline expert resolving incidents and service requests efficiently
- Ensure systems are always up, running, and reliable
- Step in during critical after-hours incidents when needed
Infrastructure & Systems
- Manage and optimize Linux and Windows environments
- Handle Active Directory, Group Policies, and endpoint security
- Administer Microsoft Intune for device management and compliance
Networking & Security
- Configure and maintain networks (VLANs, routing, VPNs)
- Own and manage pfSense firewalls and UniFi systems
- Strengthen security with IDS/IPS, VPNs, and best practices
High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Maintain failover systems and ensure business continuity
- Plan and execute disaster recovery testing
- Keep documentation audit-ready and up to standard
Compliance & Reporting
- Support ISO AS900 and CE+ compliance
- Prepare for audits and maintain governance standards
- Deliver clear, insightful IT performance reports
Projects & Asset Management
- Lead infrastructure upgrades and system migrations
- Manage vendors, procurement, and licensing
- Oversee asset lifecycle and compliance
What You Bring
You’re not just technical—you’re proactive, detail-driven, and people-focused.
Must-have technical strengths:
- Strong Linux & Windows Server administration
- Proven pfSense firewall experience
- Solid networking knowledge (VLANs, VPNs, routing, UniFi)
- Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 ecosystem experience
- Backup & disaster recovery expertise
- Security, patching, and compliance experience
Non-negotiables:
- End-to-end infrastructure management (hardware, software, cloud)
- Strong governance, compliance, and documentation skills
- Clean criminal record (verification required)

What to Expect Day-to-Day
- Managing and resolving support tickets
- Communicating clearly with clients and stakeholders
- Documenting solutions and improving processes
- Working with vendors and escalation teams
- Staying ahead of new technologies and recommending improvements
Work Setup
- Onsite at client premises in Somerset West (Monday–Friday)
- Interviews conducted in person in Cape Town
- Occasional after-hours support (planned in advance)
