The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado has over 150 faculty across four sites including the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, National Jewish Health, Denver Health, and the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. The division has a long history of seminal discoveries in pulmonary and critical care medicine and continues to grow with new faculty and facilities.

Job Summary

The Division has an opening for a full-time Operations Administrator at the Principal Professional or Program Manager Level. This role reports to the Division Administrator and works closely with divisional leadership to meet operational needs.

Work Location

Hybrid schedule: 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Principal Professional Level: 3 years of professional experience in business operations.
  • Program Manager Level: 4 years of professional experience in business operations.
  • Combination of education and related experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years administrative experience in healthcare or university setting.
  • Experience creating, obtaining approval, and monitoring budgets.
  • Experience managing operations for a university division.
  • Experience providing administrative and technical assistance to faculty and staff in higher education or medical education.
  • Experience with university systems such as Concur, Archibus, Webspace, HCM.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all institutional levels.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with high-level administration.
