We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined individual to become part of our Operations Technology (OT) team, supporting utility-scale renewable energy assets. This role goes beyond typical IT tasks as you will engage with systems that monitor and control solar, wind, and battery energy storage sites. This hands-on position will provide you with experience in networking, SCADA systems, industrial devices, and cybersecurity.

Your Responsibilities

• Support systems for real-time monitoring and control of energy assets (SCADA, Energy Management Systems, telemetry, and site communications).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that impact visibility, control, and data flow across multiple distributed sites.
• Assist in restoring operations during outages and degraded system conditions.

Technical Development

• Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Work with virtual environments (VMware / Hyper-V) and Windows-based systems.
• Support communications between devices such as relays, inverters, and meters.
• Apply knowledge of networking fundamentals in real-world scenarios.

Problem Solving

• Conduct root cause analysis on network connectivity, SCADA/data gaps, and device communication failures.
• Utilize diagnostic tools like packet captures and system logs to identify issues.
• Document findings and suggest long-term solutions for recurring problems.

24/7 Operational Support

• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure.
• Respond to issues affecting production systems and triage as necessary.

Technical Requirements

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, VLANs, routing).
• Familiarity with Windows systems and general system administration.
• Exposure to virtualization, firewall management, and SCADA systems is an advantage.

Other Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on/military experience.
• 1-2 years of related work experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for site visits to renewable energy assets.
• Must be available to participate in an on-call rotation.
