Operations Project Manager

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Operations Project Manager to oversee critical operational initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker adept at managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring seamless integration with existing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of operational processes, risk management, and change management principles. Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills are essential for collaborating with various departments and external partners. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining the flexibility of remote work with essential in-person collaboration at our office in Lagos, Lagos, NG . You will play a key role in driving efficiency improvements, implementing new operational strategies, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that enhance overall business performance. Responsibilities include: Planning, executing, and closing operational projects within defined scope, timelines, and budgets. Developing detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and contingency planning. Managing day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope. Facilitating project meetings, including progress updates and stakeholder reviews. Identifying and resolving project issues and impediments. Monitoring project progress and performance against key milestones and objectives. Ensuring effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders. Managing relationships with external vendors and partners as required. Conducting post-project evaluations and identifying lessons learned. Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on operations. Proven experience managing complex projects in a business environment. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and tools. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira). Strong analytical and decision-making abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in both remote and in-office settings. Must be fluent in English.
