Your Job

You are part of the Hexaly R&D team. As an Optimization Engineer, you will work at the intersection of software engineering and applied optimization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing optimization templates for real-world problems;
  • Building and maintaining benchmarks to evaluate performance and scalability;
  • Providing technical support to customers, helping them model and solve complex optimization problems;
  • Collaborating closely with our core R&D team to improve models and solver usage.

Your Profile

  • You have a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering (university or engineering school);
  • Strong programming skills (Python, C++, or similar);
  • Solid understanding of optimization concepts (MIP, CP, heuristics, etc.);
  • Pragmatic, problem-solver mindset with strong communication skills;
  • You have an eye for detail, you like a job well done, and you don't fear code reviews;
  • You are very organized, can follow processes and practices carefully;
  • You can listen and handle direct feedback on all that you do;
  • You have a high degree of commitment to work and are not afraid of change;
  • You possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

In the first weeks, we will coach you intensively to deepen your understanding of Hexaly's products and to acquire Hexaly's software development best practices.
