Oracle Flexcube Backend Engineer (OBPM / B2B Payments / Visa B2B Connect)

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Flexcube Backend Engineer with OBPM expertise to support and enhance a next-generation cross-border B2B payments platform (Visa B2B Connect).

This role focuses on enterprise-grade backend engineering, payment workflows, and system integrations, enabling secure, high-value international transactions, FX processing, compliance workflows, and real-time settlement systems.

The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of:

• Flexcube development + OBPM workflow expertise
• Java/Spring Boot backend engineering
• Deep understanding of cross-border payments and ISO20022 standards

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Flexcube Development

• Develop and enhance Flexcube (FCUBS) modules for:
  • Cross-border B2B payments processing
  • Multi-currency settlement & GL accounting
  • Nostro/Vostro reconciliation
  • FX calculations & fee/charges processing
• Build and maintain:
  • PL/SQL packages, STCs, Flexcube APIs
  • Custom screens, UDFs, and module enhancements (EDM/ELCM)
• Optimize performance for high-value, low-latency payment systems

OBPM / SOA Workflow Engineering

• Design and implement OBPM workflows using SOA/BPEL
• Build workflow components:
  • BPEL, XSD, WSDL, composites, human tasks
• Manage:
  • Payment orchestration lifecycle
  • AML, sanctions, and KYC workflows
  • Exception handling, repair queues, compliance holds

Backend Engineering & Integrations

• Develop Java/Spring Boot microservices
• Integrate with:
  • Visa B2B Connect APIs (origination, settlement, tracking)
  • SWIFT/ISO20022 systems
  • Treasury & FX engines
• Build services for:
  • Real-time validation & routing
  • Payment tracking & reconciliation
  • Batch settlement processing

Integration & Compliance Architecture

• Integrate Flexcube & OBPM with:
  • Payment rails (REST APIs, messaging systems)
  • AML/Fraud/Compliance platforms
• Ensure compliance with:
  • PCI DSS, ISO27001
  • Regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAS TRM)
• Support reporting for regulatory and operational needs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Treasury teams
• Support UAT, production releases, incident resolution
• Translate business payment requirements → scalable backend solutions

Required Skills

Flexcube / OBPM

• 3–8+ years of Oracle Flexcube (FCUBS) development
• Strong PL/SQL, APIs, and customization experience
• Hands-on experience with OBPM/SOA/BPEL workflows

Backend Engineering

• Strong Java + Spring Boot
• REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML
• Messaging systems (Kafka/MQ)
• Microservices & distributed architecture

Payments Domain Expertise

• Cross-border B2B payments
• ISO20022 (pacs.008, pacs.009, camt)
• AML, KYC, sanctions flows
• FX, treasury, multi-currency accounting
• Settlement lifecycle understanding

Nice to Have

• Docker/Kubernetes
• CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Cloud (AWS/Oracle Cloud OCI)
• Distributed Ledger/Blockchain exposure
• Visa B2B Connect or Visa Direct experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering
• Certifications (preferred):
  • Oracle Flexcube
  • Java/SOA
  • ISO20022
