About the role
Job Purpose
Our client based in the heart of George, is on a recruitment drive for a Technical Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will be required to drive revenue growth by proactively reaching out to new and existing customers, generating leads, and closing sales for power equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers
- Identify new business opportunities within residential, commercial, and agricultural sectors
- Promote and sell a wide range of outdoor power products
- Generate and follow up on leads through calls, emails, and networking
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in CRM or sales systems
- Stay informed on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings
- Collaborate with internal sales and service teams to ensure seamless customer experience
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Proven experience in sales, preferably outbound or telesales
- Strong communication and persuasion skills
- Basic computer literacy (CRM systems, email, Microsoft Office)
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous if client visits are required)
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in equipment, hardware, or machinery sales
- Knowledge of outdoor power equipment (lawnmowers, chainsaws, water pumps generators, etc.)
- Ability to generate leads and close deals independently
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills
