Paid Media Manager
Remote Raven
About the role
About Us
Our client is a US-based digital marketing agency with 25+ years of history serving small businesses across America — primarily home services, HVAC, contractors, landscaping, medical practices, and other local service businesses. They are a certified Google Partner with a track record of holding Google Ads accounts to a 10%+ conversion rate, roughly 3x the national average, and social media campaigns running at 2x the national click-through rate.
About the Role
We're hiring a Paid Media Manager to own Google Ads and Meta Ads strategy and execution across the client portfolio. You will personally manage campaigns for 40+ local service businesses simultaneously, with monthly ad budgets typically ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 per client. You will be directly accountable for lead volume, cost per lead, conversion rate, and return on ad spend.
This is a hands-on, in-the-accounts role. Daily optimization, weekly testing, monthly reporting, and ongoing collaboration with account managers and the content team are the rhythm of the job. The agency works on plain-language client communication — you will be expected to translate dashboard data into outcomes business owners actually care about.
The role reports to the Director of Marketing / Agency Principal and operates fully remote on a Monday–Friday schedule aligned to US Mountain Time business hours.
Responsibilities
Google Ads
- Build, launch, and optimize Search, Display, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns for local service businesses
- Conduct ongoing keyword research and disciplined negative keyword management to maximize budget efficiency
- Write conversion-focused ad copy with strong CTAs oriented toward calls and form fills, not click volume
- Set up and manage conversion tracking via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Manage bid strategies including Target CPA (tCPA), Target ROAS (tROAS), and Maximize Conversions, and adjust based on real performance
- Perform regular Quality Score audits and landing page alignment reviews
- Build remarketing audiences and run RLSA campaigns to re-engage high-intent prospects
- Maintain the agency's 10%+ Google Ads conversion rate standard across all assigned accounts
Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
- Build and manage Meta campaigns across lead generation, traffic, retargeting, and brand awareness objectives
- Develop audience strategies using Custom Audiences, Lookalike Audiences, and interest/behavioral targeting
- Brief the content team on creative requirements — images, video, carousels — that convert for local service businesses
- Run structured A/B tests on creative, copy, audience segments, and placements
- Set up and maintain Meta Pixel and Conversions API for accurate attribution
- Manage daily and lifetime budgets and optimize delivery toward CPL targets
- Apply Advantage+ campaigns where appropriate while maintaining manual control over key accounts
Reporting & Client Communication
- Build and maintain monthly performance reports using the agency dashboard, GA4, and CallRail
- Translate performance data into plain-English insights — what worked, what didn't, what's next
- Present results in monthly client review calls alongside the assigned account manager
- Flag underperforming campaigns proactively to internal stakeholders, never at month-end
Strategy & Collaboration
- Contribute to new client onboarding by recommending starting budgets, platform mix, and campaign structure
- Identify upsell opportunities in existing accounts (e.g., adding retargeting, platform expansion)
- Stay current on Google Ads and Meta Ads platform changes and surface new strategies to the team
- Collaborate with SEO and content teams to ensure paid and organic strategies reinforce each other
Requirements
- 2–5 years of hands-on paid media experience managing both Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns in a paid role
- Demonstrated experience managing 10+ client accounts simultaneously, with agency experience strongly preferred
- Strong command of Google Ads: Search, Display, Performance Max, Smart Campaigns, and remarketing
- Solid Meta Ads experience covering campaign structure, audience targeting, creative testing, and lead generation forms
- Working proficiency in GA4 and Google Tag Manager for conversion tracking setup and troubleshooting
- Practical experience configuring and debugging Meta Pixel and Conversions API
- Comfort with CallRail or a comparable call tracking platform
- Analytical fluency — the ability to read a dashboard and identify what to change without prompting
- Clear, direct written and verbal English communication
- Reliable home office setup with stable internet and the ability to overlap with US Mountain Time business hours
Nice to Have
- Google Ads certification (Search, Display)
- Meta Blueprint certification
- Direct experience running paid media for home services, HVAC, contractors, or local service businesses
- Familiarity with GoHighLevel (GHL) CRM and lead management workflows
- LinkedIn Ads experience
- Working knowledge of landing page optimization and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles

How to Apply
Submit your resume along with a brief cover note that addresses both of the following:

Applications without a cover note addressing both questions will not be reviewed.
