Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been reassigned by our long‑standing client, a well‑established and highly successful services business based in Roche and operating across multiple locations in Cornwall. The company has experienced sustained growth over recent years and is now undergoing a period of positive change, which includes the development of the finance function.

The role is a permanent part‑time Management Accountant position, working the equivalent of three days per week. Hours are flexible and can be arranged to suit the successful candidate, with some consideration given to year‑end and deadlines.

The role works as part of a small but developing finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller and supported by a small finance team. The core focus of the role will be the production of accurate and comprehensive management accounts.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and production of management accounts for presentation to the Financial Controller and senior management team, including MA journals
• Bank reconciliations
• Administration of the payroll function
• Cash flow reporting
• Stock accounting
• Performance analysis against KPIs
• Assist with system improvements and function streamlining
• Assist with year‑end procedures

Requirements

• Experience as a Management Accountant (AAT qualified, part/fully professionally qualified, or QBE) – formal qualification is not essential
• Strong IT skills and a focus on maximizing efficiency from finance systems
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence non‑finance colleagues on accounting policy
• Outgoing, commercially astute, and able to be a well‑known face within the business

Salary

• £35,000 – £40,000 FTE
