Part-Time Product Growth (Early Stage)

LeashAgain

Remote · Canada Part-time 2mo ago

About the role

About LeashAgain

We’re building LeashAgain — an app designed to support rescue dog owners dealing with fear, reactivity, and real behavioral challenges.

This is not a typical dog training product.

It’s built from real experience, and we’re looking for someone who can help us figure out what actually works — not just execute ideas.

What you’ll do

This role is about finding traction, not just doing marketing.

You will:

Understand user behavior

  • Analyze where users drop off
  • Identify why users don’t come back
  • Help improve onboarding and first-time experience

Run growth experiments

  • Test different acquisition channels:
    • Instagram
    • TikTok
    • Reddit
    • niche communities
  • Track what actually brings engaged users (not just installs)

Improve retention

  • Help design better user flows
  • Suggest improvements for:
    • daily usage (Today’s Step)
    • notifications
    • in-app engagement

Work closely with the founder

  • Weekly check-ins
  • Fast iteration cycles
  • Direct impact on product direction

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with early-stage products (this is critical)
  • Strong product thinking, not just marketing
  • Comfortable with data, but also intuition
  • Able to run small, fast experiments
  • Curious, honest, and not afraid to challenge ideas

This is NOT for you if:

  • You only do content or social media
  • You only run ads without understanding product
  • You need a fully structured environment

What matters most

We don’t care about vanity metrics.

We care about:

  • real user engagement
  • retention
  • learning what works

Details

  • Part-time (10–20 hours/week)
  • Remote
  • Early-stage startup environment
  • Compensation: flexible (cash / equity / mix)

Why this matters

We’re building this from real-life experience with rescue dogs.

If we get this right, we’re not just growing an app — we’re helping people who feel overwhelmed and alone.

How to apply

Tell us:

  • how you would approach getting the first 100 real users
  • and what you would do if users don’t come back after day 1
