Apple Tree Counseling LLC is a group private practice and limited liability company operating out of Lorton/Woodbridge and Manassas, Virginia. Our primary service is mental health counseling for individuals and families. The practice is also a place of learning for clinicians and clients alike, and graduate-level interns help to provide affordable services and learn from clinicians with more experience.

What we're looking for:

Apple Tree seeks a social media/marketing/outreach Manager part time, 10 hours a week, to manage the company's social media accounts, post content, make partnerships and relationships with other mental health and applicable business/organizations in the area. This person could be a recent university graduate who seeks to make a niche in the mental health field. Eventually, this position would oversee 2-3 University students.

We have many goals we are trying to work on, such as:

  • Highlighting the work being done at Apple Tree by our mental health clinicians
  • Promoting our medication management program, interns, group counseling options, and new events coming up
  • Branching out into partnerships in the area
  • Making important decisions regarding how we promote ourselves to move the business forward

Responsibilities:

This position would

  • Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Craft and execute strategic marketing plans to enhance brand visibility and support the growth of our practice. Ensure all marketing activities align with our mission and values. Develop goal-driven campaigns with measurable ways of measuring success, including understanding/having an understanding of analytics and SEO to gauge campaign success.
  • Content Creation: Create compelling, informative, and engaging content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Content should resonate with our audience and promote mental health awareness.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee day-to-day management of social media accounts. Schedule posts, find new ways to highlight the work being done at Apple Tree specifically.
  • Community Engagement: Foster supportive and collaborative relationships with universities, area businesses, other professionals, etc.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze performance metrics to measure the success of social media campaigns. Provide regular reports and insights to the management team to guide future strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the counseling team to ensure that all content is accurate and reflects current mental health practices. Collaborate with external partners or influencers to extend reach and impact (rarely).
  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of the latest trends in digital marketing and social media, as well as developments in the mental health field, to ensure that our practice remains a thought leader in the space.Monitor various social media platforms.
  • Write/Publish blog posts.
  • Assist and manage the creation and promotion of marketing/advertising materials.
  • Create interest and develop ads to make our goals happen!
  • Taking pictures and finding materials to build up a website and promotional material
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
  • Attend monthly staff meetings on the 2nd Monday at noon and admin meetings every Friday at noon.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Some experience in social media management and digital marketing, preferably within the healthcare or wellness industries.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create visually appealing content using graphic design tools.
  • Empathy and sensitivity to mental health issues, with a commitment to promoting positive mental health practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics tools.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

We are particularly interested in interns who have developed knowledge regarding mental health disorders/treatment/private practice and especially an understanding of the northern Virginia area (Prince William County and Fairfax County) 's local businesses and general systems.

Apple Tree is a group private practice serving youth in Prince William County, Virginia, and surrounding areas. We have ten clinicians, an Office Manager, Marketing and relationship Managers, and Billing Managers. This position would report to the CEO and Marketing and Relationship Managers. Apply here!
