Department Overview
The Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LADS) department is seeking an Execution Chief Engineer (CE) with the technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to drive the design and development of world‑class Air and Missile Defense Systems. NSPA GEM‑T Execution CE will provide support to the NSPA GEM‑T Chief Engineer and be responsible for system analysis, requirements development, hardware design, software design, integration thread development, system performance to include integration and test, and integrated sustainment plans on European Patriot Missile programs. This position will directly interface with the customers from the United States Government (USG) and various European Governments. This role will support $1B+ of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) Patriot Missile contracts and future FMS/DCS pursuits. This role may also provide execution and capture support to other Patriot System efforts in the EUCOM region. This is an onsite position based in Tewksbury, MA and may require occasional travel. The selected candidate will be assigned to the Land and Air Defense Systems strategic business unit.
What You Will Do
- Support the NSPA GEM‑T Chief Engineer / Technical Director (CE/TD) in his responsibilities as owner of technical execution or program scope.
- Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across all Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Cross Product Teams (CPTs), and disciplines within the Program to cost, schedule, technical requirements
- Maintain regular cadence of communication with Engineering Leadership Team a summary of status and high‑priority topics.
- Attend Product Line and Project Team meetings to identify and drive Risk and Opportunity handling plans.
- Lead Engineering Program Review rollup and approvals in support of the Estimate‑At‑Complete (EAC) and Latest‑Revised‑Estimate (LRE) processes.
- Provide technical advisory disposition for Export / Import (EXIM) compliance.
- ~10% Domestic/International travel.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in system design, development, integration/verification, production, and/or sustainment within Defense industry.
- Experience in product development, customer interface, and/or contract capture in the Defense Industry.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in Patriot Program (or other radar program) system design, development, integration/verification, production, and sustainment
- Experience with International FMS programs and International Supplier’s/Partner’s engineering execution
- Experience with Army IAMD Systems of Systems (SoS)
- Experience in concepts of operations development and/or design of system level architecture
- Experience managing resources with annual budgets exceeding $25 million
- Experience supporting proposals with annual engineering run rates exceeding $25 million
- Experience with Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) Management
- Experience with globally distributed engineering execution organizations (CONUS and OCONUS)
- Experience with international industrial participation and technology transfer

Salary
The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
