Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong payments and banking experience to lead the end-to-end architecture. Hybrid remote in Dublin and top rates on offer for this 6 month contract.

The successful candidate will be providing architectural leadership, governance, and strategic direction to support complex transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the solution architecture ensuring alignment to the target state and regulatory expectations.
• Maintain a holistic view of the current state and target state architecture.
• Identify and manage architecture gaps, integration points, and dependencies across domains.
• Lead the development, documentation, and facilitation of architectural decisions, including the preparation of design and decision papers and presenting them to the appropriate governance forums.
• Ensure all design decisions align with enterprise architecture standards and meet regulatory expectations and intent.
• Provide guidance and coordination across multiple architecture teams and workstreams within the initiative.
• Lead and support vendor option analysis, make or buy assessments, and architecture trade-off evaluations.

Key Skills and Experience

• Strong experience in payments and banking architecture, particularly in payments and regulatory transformation, with a deep understanding of open banking and payment regulations.
• Experience designing end-to-end enterprise solutions across multiple systems and domains.
• Enterprise and solution architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF or equivalent).
• Familiarity with modern API platforms, cloud architecture, and microservices.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality architecture documentation and decision papers.
