TriSource is partnering with a well-established, multi-state organization to identify a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with Accounting and HR teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll for 300 employees
  • Manage garnishments, employee loans, pay advances, and other payroll adjustments
  • Prepare payroll journal entries and related payables; generate and analyze payroll reports using Excel and internal systems
  • Post weekly flexible spending account activity and maintain accurate records
  • Perform monthly and quarterly payroll and benefit account reconciliations
  • Conduct internal payroll audits (e.g., local tax compliance, employee tax setups)
  • Review quarterly tax variance reports and coordinate resolution of discrepancies
  • Handle payroll-related tax notices and partner with internal teams or vendors for resolution
  • Prepare and submit required filings, including quarterly and annual payroll forms
  • Support year-end processes such as W-2 generation, payroll schedule updates, and tax ID verification
  • Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, and system updates
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Accounts Payable, and leadership on reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements
  • Stay current on payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment
  • Strong understanding of state and local tax withholding requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and PivotTables
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments
