POSITION: People Officer - Recruitment JOB GRADING: C-Lower DEPARTMENT: Human Resources SITE: South Deep Gold Mine The People Officer – Recruitment is accountable for the effective and efficient sourcing of capable talent and skills for the mine. The role encompasses the initiation of assigned sourcing events, sourcing candidates via established internal and external sourcing channels, system and manual applicant handling management, scheduling of interviews and overseeing the preparation of interview and selection processes. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 certificate or equivalent A formal Human Resources qualification Experience with recruitment processes and basic recruitment platforms Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office (specifically MS Excel) and, knowledge of SAP Success Factors Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment NOTE: all relevant certificates must be attached to your CV in order to be considered for shortlisting Key Competencies: Proven track record in safety leadership Proven interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills Independent, proactive thinker and ability to schedule and deliver work within tight deadlines Excellent time management and organizational skills and Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Duties and Responsibilities: Contribute to a culture of zero harm by adhering to all requirements as laid down by legislation, health, safety, environmental, security policies, and procedures, and by the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completion Assist to coordinate the end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for all assigned recruitment events including manual and system-based (Success factors) processes Prepare and present analytical and documented recruitment updates, status reports, etc. Act as a point of contact during sourcing events up to pre-selection process Assist to process job applications and respond to queries Assist with and facilitate required candidate screening and related processes such as qualifications, security, reference checks, etc. Ensure that applicant correspondence relating to registration, application receipt and regret letters are managed within the applicable processes Closing Date: 09 April 2026 Please note that the Gold Fields code of conduct strictly prohibits the exchange of any payment as part of its recruitment process.
