About the role

About Prudential Health India

Prudential's purpose is to be partners for every life and protectors for every future. At Prudential Health India (PHI), we're on a mission to make Indians healthier while bridging the health protection gap. This is a Zero to One team undertaking a greenfield health insurance deployment in India, committed to building journeys that truly empathize with the customer and offer a differentiated, bespoke experience.

The Role

  • Business Analyst, you'll be central to creating continuous value for the business by conceiving next-generation digital experiences. Your typical week involves managing health and wellness business requirements in active collaboration with functional representatives, while working closely with Product Managers and Functional owners to formulate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

You'll develop in-depth understanding of business processes and articulate use-cases, user-stories, and requirement documents for identified features and capabilities across applicable platforms and projects. A significant part of your work involves soliciting, validating, and documenting business requirements through clear understanding of as-is versus to-be processes, ensuring acceptance criteria are well-defined for user stories.

Key Responsibilities

Leading brainstorming sessions with key stakeholders is a core responsibility, where you'll strategically align business requirements and opportunities to create delightful experiences while keeping the market competitive positioning in view. You'll perform process impact analysis across various platforms, maintaining an end-to-end view of user journeys and designing Business Process Flows that you'll review with key functional stakeholders to obtain signoff.

Facilitating discussions and gathering feedback ensures proposed improvements align with business process objectives. You'll identify pain points, bottlenecks, redundancies, delays, errors, and other areas for enhancement, digging deeper to uncover root causes of inefficiencies. Your analysis will examine whether current processes comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, including legal, compliance, and data privacy requirements.

You'll use techniques such as flowcharts, BPMN diagrams, or process maps to illustrate the sequence of activities, decision points, inputs, outputs, and roles involved in applicable business processes. When required, you'll undertake iterations in signed-off Business Process Flows in collaboration with stakeholders to refine and finalize subsequent versions.

Managing stakeholder expectations based on current workload and capacity is essential. You'll collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand requirements, contribute to platform technology roadmap development, and drive day-to-day prioritization of work on capabilities while working closely with functional users. Throughout implementation, you'll ensure acceptance criteria are defined and met, leading testing in collaboration with functional users including joint preparation and review of test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing.

What We're Looking For

You understand and can craft successful product conceptualization and delivery by synthesizing the intersection of market environment, consumer behavior, and business ambition. You can empathize well with and understand the motivations of users, bringing proved expertise in User Research, processes for creating Personas, Customer Journey Maps, and User Flows.

You understand existing mental models and expectations of users based on contemporary experiences and have an exceptional eye for visual and interaction details. You communicate design decisions effectively and can present your design strategy to persuade stakeholders while solving user problems creatively and effectively.

You're able to act as an indispensable member of the product delivery team throughout all phases of product development, comfortable with Agile and iterative project management methodologies. You can identify metrics and analytics to track the impact of design decisions through quantitative data and collaborate effectively across disciplines such as Technology, Product, Operations, Marketing, and Analytics teams to design and implement solutions.

With a curious mind, you measure what really matters and can design subsequent iterations based on insights. You possess hands‑on knowledge of behavioral analytics platforms, BI tools, and SDLC tracking tools, and you're passionate about operating interactively.

Experience Requirements

You have 6‑8 years of total experience with at least 3 years of domain experience in any of these sectors: health insurance, wellness, payments, financial services, ecommerce, insurance core systems, health tech, insure tech, tele‑sales and non‑voice customer servicing platforms, or loyalty platforms.

You're passionate about consumer behavior and culture, enjoying time spent with customers to understand what they really want. You have an attentive ear for new ideas and are comfortable progressing iteratively while balancing the need for a minimal level of service a digital asset should provide when customers engage with it. You can identify raw stones and iteratively polish them into shining diamonds, and you like working in a space where everyone can see what others are doing.

You take help from others when stuck and encourage others when there are setbacks. You take full responsibility for your own output while thinking across the organization to solve for the customer.

What Makes You Extra Special

Experience designing wireframes, UX flows, customer journey maps, conducting usability testing, interpreting feedback, and incorporating insights into iterations is valuable. It's great if you've already read books like Blue Ocean Strategy, Measure What Matters, and Zero to One before seeing them mentioned here.

You have incisive insights about your customers irrespective of the industry you've worked in. Meaningful certifications in agile and understanding the principles beyond the jargon are highly valued. You have real stories to tell about how your team and you challenged convention and took the path less traveled—we're keen to listen to your story, whether you tell it with a sigh or with excitement. We respect both versions. Truly.
