Our client, a global (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation, is recruiting for a Piping Engineer to join them on their new expansion project. Based in a charming French location, this is a 12‑month contractual role that will involve significantly growing the site’s capacity for the manufacture of biologics.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the tendering team with the General Contractor, requesting proposals from mechanical installation contractors, etc.
  • Support the General Contractor in development of the piping design supervision/guidance/review.
  • Participate in and report all scope changes or trends that may cause an impact to the work package.
  • Manage and evaluate status reports regarding design and construction progress.
  • Scout, onboard, manage and supervise piping engineer resources for the piping team.
  • Manage electronic and hard‑copy data files administration in client systems and archives.
  • Provide installation supervision and collaborate with the client commissioning team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in engineering.
  • Proven experience (5 years) within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • French language skills preferred; Irish/European candidates with the right experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • French and English speaking is a nice‑to‑have but not a deal‑breaker.
  • Experience with complex projects and working in or around operating facilities.
  • Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines.
  • Good organising and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels with customers, local vendors, equipment suppliers and operations staff.
  • Proven success working well in a team environment with flexibility to react to changing business needs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Problem‑solver with a focus on achievement of overall project goals.
  • Computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, Visio, Microsoft Project).
