Role Description

This is an internship position for a Placement Student at riseandshinersa (RSA). The role is on‑site at our facilities in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Placement Student will assist in various operational activities, including:

• Supporting community programs
• Conducting research for projects
• Engaging with community members
• Organizing events
• Gathering feedback to improve services
• Managing communication channels
• Providing administrative support as needed

The intern will contribute to our organization’s mission of fostering community well‑being and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in communication, public speaking, or community engagement
• Research and analytical skills for project preparation and execution
• Event planning or organizational skills
• Administrative skills including proficiency in email, documentation, and time management
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and adaptability
• Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse populations
• Interest in community development and social issues
• Pursuing a degree or diploma in Social Work, Community Services, Non‑Profit Management, or related fields
