About the role

Your role in the team

  • You will be responsible for planning the radio infrastructure (GSM-R, GSM-P, 5G, FRMCS) according to the service phases of HOAI for the telecommunications trade.
  • You implement planning according to the specifications of the DB InfraGO FRMCS platform.
  • You develop radio connections and integrate new technologies such as 5G and FRMS.
  • Detailed planning of base stations and associated cable infrastructure is your responsibility.
  • You actively contribute to railway-specific requirements and the topics of Safety & Security.
  • You coordinate with interdisciplinary project teams as well as external partners.
  • Ideally, you have experience working with dBOS.

Qualifications

  • You are well-versed in the planning and implementation of base stations as well as cable planning.
  • A structured and independent way of working, as well as enthusiasm for modern railway and communication technologies, characterize you.
  • In the team, you demonstrate strong communication skills and support your colleagues.

Experience

  • You have several years of professional experience as a planning engineer, preferably in the railway sector.
  • You have already gained extensive experience in planning according to HOAI, particularly in the telecommunications sector and ideally in the radio segment (GSM-R, GSM-P, 5G, FRMCS).
  • You ideally already have experience with railway-specific IT systems such as dBOS.

Education

  • You have successfully completed a degree in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., Bachelor's, Master's).
