About the role
The Plant Controller Alphen / Divisional Ops Finance Analyst is responsible for providing comprehensive financial oversight and strategic analysis for the Alphen manufacturing site and divisional operations. This role ensures financial integrity, supports operational decision‑making, and drives cost‑efficiency through detailed reporting and partnership with site leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- This is a hybrid role based in Oegstgeest with regular travel to the Alphen aan den Rijn site.
- Coordinate AOP and Forecast cycle regarding Total Manufacturing Expenses (TME)
- Lead the monthly closing process for the manufacturing site, ensuring accurate accruals and financial reporting.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and operational KPIs to identify trends and cost‑saving opportunities.
- Partner with the Operations Manager to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counting and valuation audits.
- Support divisional finance projects and provide ad‑hoc analysis for regional leadership.
- Continuously develop and optimize BI tools in a changing organization to improve decision making and increase efficiency in the finance function.
- Support Investment (Capex) planning and business case development (AFEs)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing finance or plant controlling.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data for non‑finance stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
