Position

Plant Quality Engineer (m/f) – Echternach / Luxembourg
Join our Plant Quality Assurance department.

Responsibilities

  • Handling customer and supplier complaints
  • Leading 8D teams to solve quality issues by conducting root‑cause investigations and controlling implementation of containment, as well as corrective and preventative measures
  • Performing reject analysis and concluding on potential improvements to minimize quality risks and quality costs
  • Performing capability studies
  • Conducting internal and external audits for compliance to VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949
  • Providing support in product and process improvement and development activities
  • Providing guidance, support and technical assistance to quality inspectors and production team
  • Reporting KPI's and project results
  • Maintaining and developing plant quality documentation, compliant with the standards' requirements

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, preferably electrical engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in a quality engineering/quality assurance role or similar
  • Good knowledge of quality and manufacturing processes, preferably electronics manufacturing
  • Experience with manufacturing process controls, equipment inspections, auditing, process improvement and analysis
  • Good knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 (certification preferred)
  • Good knowledge of quality and automotive core tools such as 8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, SPC and others
  • Experience in the automotive industry and/or electronics production is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and techniques is an asset
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to read and understand technical prints, drawings, and production specifications
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational and team working skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills, experience in data analysis and SPC tools such as Minitab and Power BI
  • Fluency in English and good German (at least B2) skills
