The Role

This is a senior platform architecture role focused on evolving a core backend system into a cloud-native, distributed platform. You will define architectural direction, work hands-on with engineering teams, and guide how large-scale data processing and execution systems are designed and operated.

What You Will Do

• Design and evolve distributed, cloud-native architectures that support high-scale data processing and execution workloads
• Define architectural standards across backend services, including data flow, consistency, fault tolerance, and system boundaries
• Lead platform modernization efforts, transitioning legacy components into scalable cloud-native systems
• Work hands-on with engineering teams to prototype, validate, and deliver production-ready solutions
• Act as a technical leader across teams, mentoring engineers and influencing system design decisions at scale

What You Bring

• Extensive experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production environments
• Strong background in data-intensive platforms such as distributed data processing, databases, or query engines
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, including scalability, elasticity, and cost-aware design
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and backend development in Go or C++
• Proven ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear, implementable architectural designs
