Platform Developer und Engineer

About

You will be actively involved in the setup, further development, and operation of an on-prem, self-hosted, air-gapped cloud-native platform for geographically distributed services and applications. You will use GitOps, Policy as Code, and Diagram as Code to specify, document, and enforce the desired state of the platform, and furthermore ensure that internal and external audits are passed without issues every 6 months. You will use state-of-the-art technologies to continuously recreate clusters instead of updating them, enabling seamless implementation of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Management (BCM). You will work closely with external developers and internal "Citizen Developers" to enable secure, robust, and distributed services, business applications, and algorithms. You will support the "Pioneers" team to win over the subsequent "Settlers" and later "Town Planners" and to master future challenges together.

What you can do

You have completed a degree in computer science (or related fields) or have a specialized training in software development with corresponding professional experience of several years. You have several years of experience in the development and operation of on-prem or self-managed cloud-native platforms. You are proficient in GitOps and preferably in Policy as Code. You have sound knowledge of K8s HA scenarios, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity Management (BCM). You enjoy collaborating with various developer groups and together you develop innovative and creative solutions for complex tasks. You have excellent German and English language skills and a Class B driver's license.
