Platform Engineer

About

We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer for a 7 months contract to build, maintain, and optimize scalable, secure platforms that support high-volume banking and payments systems. You will play a key role in enabling engineering teams through automation, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native platforms and infrastructure
• Enable development teams through self-service tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and security
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability tools
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and security teams
• Drive platform standardization and engineering best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Platform Engineering / DevOps / SRE roles
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Solid experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)

Advantageous Skills

• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
• Exposure to microservices and API-driven architectures
• Knowledge of security and compliance in financial systems

Preferred Industry Experience

• Banking or financial services
• Exposure to payments systems, transaction processing, or high-availability platforms
