About the role
Your role in the team
- Development and continuous enhancement of our Internal Developer Platform and the Developer Portal (e.g., Backstage).
- Design of 'Golden Paths', automations, and templates to provide product teams with seamless self-service workflows (e.g., provisioning, CI/CD).
- You consider the platform as your product, actively gather user feedback, and iteratively improve the platform based on a clear roadmap.
- Operation and optimization of our cloud and Kubernetes landscape, including the integration of central services (such as observability or service meshes).
- Embedding 'Policy as Code' and best practices to ensure security, compliance, and governance (Shift-Left Security).

Our expectations:
Qualifications
- Team player with a strong 'Enablement' focus. You solve problems through code and automation rather than manual tickets and understand DevOps, SRE, and Cloud-Native principles.
- Extensive hands-on experience with container technologies, Kubernetes architecture, and at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Touchpoints with developer portals (Backstage), observability stacks (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), or service meshes.
- You are good at abstracting technical complexity, enjoy coaching colleagues, and communicate confidently in German and English.
Experience
- Proficient in IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Crossplane) and experienced in building efficient CI/CD pipelines.
- Good programming skills (Go, Python, or TypeScript) as well as experience in API design (REST) and authentication standards.
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Technology, an apprenticeship as an IT specialist, or a comparable qualification.
