Platform Engineer

Visium SA

Lausanne · flexible Full-time Mid Level Today

About the role

About Us

Regulatory submissions that take months. Deviation reports that pile up on QA desks. Pharmaceutical teams spending their best hours os documentation instead of science.

We are building the AI systems that change this.

Visium is an enterprise AI company with deep roots in life sciences. Our two products, Scribe and Devin, are purpose-built for pharma teams operating in GxP-regulated environments, and are gaining traction with leading life sciences organizations across Europe. Scribe automates the drafting of regulatory documents, keeping human experts in control at every step. Devin handles deviation management end to end, from event capture to root cause analysis and corrective action generation.

We are now building the team that takes these products further. If you want to work on AI that genuinely matters, this is the role.

Role

You will build and own the platform that makes Visium's products reliable, scalable, and secure across every customer environment we operate in. Our deployment model requires running software inside customer cloud tenants, which means you will be managing infrastructure across multiple regulated environments simultaneously, each with its own compliance and data residency requirements.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You will work closely with the engineering team to build the core infrastructure abstractions everyone relies on, set reliability standards, and make sure we can scale without breaking things.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure across Azure (primary) and AWS using Pulumi and Terraform
  • Build and manage container orchestration environments for our agentic AI services, data pipelines, and API backends
  • Architect and maintain our dual-deployment SaaS model, enabling secure, isolated deployments within customer cloud tenants
  • Implement and enforce security controls, data residency requirements, and audit trail infrastructure aligned with GxP and SOC 2 requirements
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that allow the engineering team to ship reliably and safely
  • Set up and own observability: monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing across all environments
  • Contribute to incident response and lead post-incident learning
  • Build developer-friendly infrastructure abstractions that reduce friction and improve engineering velocity

Requirements

You are a backend engineer at heart who has gone deep on infrastructure and platform work, and thrives in environments where the stakes are high and the problems are real:

  • Strong software engineering background, ideally in backend systems, with deep infrastructure and platform know-how built on top of it
  • Hands-on experience with Azure (required) and AWS
  • Proficient with Pulumi (preferred) or Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Strong Kubernetes experience: deployment, scaling, observability, and reliability
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Comfortable with Python and scripting for automation
  • Experience with observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar
  • Autonomous, proactive, and serious about reliability

Nice to have

  • Experience deploying software within customer cloud tenants or managed application patterns
  • Familiarity with GxP, SOC 2, HIPAA, or other regulated industry compliance requirements
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure
  • Pulumi experience specifically

We know that great candidates might not check every box. If you're excited about this role and believe you could contribute, we'd love to hear from you.
