Platform Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with deep expertise in building and managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform. This role focuses on enabling developer productivity by designing and automating self-service infrastructure capabilities through an internal developer portal. The ideal candidate brings strong DevOps fundamentals, hands-on experience with CI/CD tools—especially Harness—and a user-centric mindset to support internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules to enable reusable, secure, and standardized deployments.
• Build and enhance self-service infrastructure capabilities via internal developer platforms/portals.
• Integrate Terraform workflows with CI/CD pipelines, with a strong emphasis on Harness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand infrastructure needs and translate them into automated solutions.
• Provide user support and troubleshooting for platform-related issues, ensuring a smooth developer experience.
• Implement and enforce policy-as-code using tools such as Sentinel or OPA.
• Administer and manage Terraform Enterprise platform, including workspaces, modules, and governance controls.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and security through automation and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.).
• Deep expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, with hands-on experience in Harness.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar).
• Experience building self-service platforms or internal developer portals.
• Strong troubleshooting and user support skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices including version control, automation, and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with policy-as-code frameworks such as Sentinel or Open Policy Agent (OPA).
• Hands-on experience administering Terraform Enterprise.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and governance models.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to GitOps workflows and modern platform engineering practices.
