Platform Engineer / IT System Administrator

Your role in the team

• Platform Development: You actively develop our modern platform landscape around Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud technologies.
• Automation: You automate infrastructure and deployments with Terraform and Ansible, ensuring that releases are reproducible, scalable, and defined according to the latest standards.
• Developer Enablement: You support our development teams in operating applications efficiently and scalably on our platform.
• Platform Operations: You are responsible for core platform services as well as their installation, configuration, and lifecycle.
• Observability: You continuously advance the level of automation for databases (PostgreSQL, DB2), middleware (IBM MQ, Kafka), and observability tools (Instana, Grafana).
• Innovation: Together with your team, you evaluate and integrate new technologies and automation possibilities.

Experience

• Experience: You have several years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or System Engineer (m/f/d).

Education

• Background: You have completed a scientific or technical degree (e.g., Business Informatics, Computer Science) or a comparable IT qualification.
