As a Platform Engineering Manager, you will lead a small, collaborative team of talented engineers building the backbone that connects advanced AI capabilities to real-world marketing activation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive meaningful transformation while working closely with product and cross-functional partners in a supportive environment that values ownership and innovation.

Responsibilities

In this Platform Engineering Manager position, you’ll blend technical leadership with people development to modernize and scale critical platform services. Key areas include:

• Leading the evolution of the platform toward AI-native capabilities with agentic systems that automate multi-step workflows.
• Assessing architecture, reducing technical debt, and delivering measurable improvements in performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Owning reliability, integrations with marketing technology ecosystems, and hands-on guidance on key decisions.
• Mentoring and growing a small, collaborative team through 1:1s, career development, and a culture of excellence and low bureaucracy.
• Partnering on roadmap delivery, incident response, and aligning engineering efforts with business impact.

You will work with a small, collaborative team that emphasizes clear communication, shared ownership, and rapid iteration in a dynamic setting.

Job Requirements

For the Platform Engineering Manager role, we’re looking for an experienced leader with:

• 7+ years building production software and 5+ years managing engineering teams (10+ people), with a strong track record of developing talent and driving results.
• Deep expertise scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms in cloud environments, including backend systems (e.g., Java/Spring Boot or equivalent) at high scale.
• Experience with modern frontend, API design, observability, and delivering quantifiable platform improvements.
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI/ML tools and agent frameworks, paired with pragmatic decision-making and strong communication skills.
• A low-ego, action-oriented mindset comfortable with ambiguity and focused on both strategy and hands-on contributions.

Preferred Background Includes Martech Or Data-intensive SaaS Environments.
