As a Platform Engineer (m/f/d), you will be part of our international, interdisciplinary teams and act as the primary point of contact for infrastructure in the creation of distributed systems. Your many years of experience in operations will help you understand the technical and functional requirements of clients and internal projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Proactive development of modern solution strategies and implementation of distributed systems on the most common cloud platforms using Cloud Native approaches
• Design of secure and resilient systems that are easy to operate
• Close collaboration with development teams to ensure the system meets the needs of all users
• Internal and external point of contact for infrastructure questions regarding security, effort, costs, and maintenance in an agile context
• Maintenance and further development of client projects, ensuring the platform runs smoothly

Your Profile

• You have many years of experience as a Platform Engineer or comparable qualifications
• You are proficient in using Linux and its tools
• You have knowledge in planning and building networks (VPC)
• You have in-depth experience with at least one major cloud vendor (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• You can design and implement the foundation for cloud architecture with Managed and Cloud Native (Microservice, Container Orchestration)
• You have experience in securing projects (e.g., Security Principles, Zero-Trust) and Patch Management (Network, K8s, VMs)
• You possess knowledge in planning Observability, Disaster Management, and On-Call Management systems
• You bring a high degree of initiative, motivation, and flexibility
• German language skills (written and spoken) at a minimum C1 level
• English language skills (written and spoken) at a minimum B2 level

Nice-To-Have:

• Certified in Linux, Redhat, or Cloud Vendors
• Knowledge of security and governance services, e.g., Security Center, Sentinel, Defender, Security Hub, Guard Duty, and Config

• Container orchestration with Docker (Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE, Azure Container Apps) or VM scaling
• Scripting languages in the cloud context (Python, Bash, Powershell)
• Distributed systems (Serverless, LoadBalancing, Caching, CDN, etc.)
• Managed Services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi / CDK, Terraform, Ansible)
• CI/CD (AzureDevOps, Github) and Identity Management (AAD, KeyCloak)
• Landing zones
