Then I have just the thing for you: One of the largest international providers of online event bookings is currently looking for a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) in a permanent position.
In this role, you will actively shape the transition from classic data center environments to a modern, automated, and highly available infrastructure – on a platform that connects people all over the world.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the stable, secure, and scalable operation of our productive platform infrastructure
- Operation and further development of virtualized systems in our global data centers (VMware, Proxmox, KVM)
- Building and maintaining a highly automated infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools
- Support in expanding hybrid cloud architectures (e.g., Azure or AWS) in combination with existing data center structures
- Close collaboration with development teams to ensure smooth CI/CD processes (e.g., GitLab CI, ArgoCD) and DevOps principles
- Monitoring, performance optimization, and error analysis in complex, distributed system landscapes (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Automation of operational processes, deployments, and infrastructure rollouts
- Active participation in projects related to the scaling, high availability, and security of our event platform
Profile
- Several years of experience in operating data center infrastructures and virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, Proxmox)
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code, especially with Terraform, ideally complemented by Ansible
- Sound Linux knowledge (Ubuntu, Debian, RedHat)
- Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker) and their integration into existing infrastructures
- Ideally, knowledge of cloud environments (Azure or AWS) and their interaction with data center infrastructure
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodology
- Strong problem-solving skills, independent work, and team spirit
- Very good German skills (at least B2) and good English skills
