What you will do

• Build, operate, and further develop the Kubernetes platform.
• Analyze and gradually modernize existing IT systems.
• Develop and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines and design GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD).
• Create and expand infrastructure templates with Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Develop and operate monitoring concepts with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Consider security and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIS2) and implement measures.
• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Solution Architecture, Integration Management) and manage external service providers.

What distinguishes you for the job

• You have a completed degree in IT, safety engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• You have extensive experience in operating and integrating security-critical IT/OT systems and in productive Kubernetes administration.
• Profound knowledge of networks, virtualization, container technologies, or IT security standards.
• Demonstrable practical experience with CI/CD (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD), IaC, Kafka, and monitoring solutions, as well as API management systems.
• Ability to moderate technical conflicts between operations, development, and architecture, and to develop and coordinate solution approaches.
• Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and solution-orientedly align requirements under high request volume.
• German: C1 – Professional language skills
• English: C1 – Professional language skills

Nice to Have

• Ideally, certification as a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Knowledge of relevant security and compliance requirements, e.g., GDPR and NIS2.
• Experience with cloud platforms/Azure.
