Job Vacancy: Platform Product Manager
The Platform Product Manager is responsible for driving software and digital platform initiatives from concept through to launch and continuous improvement. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to define, develop, and deliver innovative software solutions that meet customer needs and align with the company's strategic goals. The Platform Product Manager will work closely with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product execution, monitor post-launch performance, and drive platform iterations based on user feedback, market trends, and business objectives. This position is key to ensuring platform solutions are delivered on time, scalable, secure, and provide high value to customers.
Duties & Responsibilities • Platform Strategy and Innovation: Develop and execute the platform strategy, managing the full lifecycle of software products, ensuring scalability, security, and continuous innovation. • Market and Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research, customer insights analysis, and competitor benchmarking to identify opportunities and differentiate the platform. • Business Planning: Design business plans for digital and platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals, ROI, and strategic growth. • Partner and Pricing Management: Manage relationships with software partners, third-party integrations, and oversee platform monetization strategies. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams to define platform features, prioritize development, and deliver successful launches. • Financial Management and Budgeting: Prepare and manage budgets for software development and platform initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to define go-to-market strategies, drive user adoption, and enhance platform visibility. • Reporting and Administration: Monitor platform KPIs, prepare performance reports, and provide insights to guide strategic decisions.
Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing is advantageous • 5+ years’ experience in software or platform product management • Demonstrated experience managing a SaaS, cloud-based or enterprise software product • Proficiency in product management and development tracking tools (Azure DevOps or equivalent) • Advanced data analysis skills, including Excel and experience in BI (Power BI, Tableau) tools is advantageous • Experience in the utilities, smart metering, or infrastructure sector is a strong advantage
