PLC Commissioning Engineer – Siemens TIA / Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

As a PLC Commissioning Engineer, you bring KNAPP's automated warehouse systems to life. You program, configure, and test Siemens PLCs (S7, TIA Portal) and ensure seamless commissioning for our international customers.

Your Mission

• Commissioning of automation and conveyor systems
• PLC programming & troubleshooting (Siemens TIA/Step7)
• On‑site testing, optimization and handover
• Collaboration with electrical, mechanical and software teams
• Training customer technicians
• International travel (around 60‑75 %)

You Are KNAPP

• Degree in Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering (HTL or similar)
• Basic or advanced experience with PLC programming (preferred Siemens)
• Passion for automation, robotics and technology
• Good English skills
• Proactive mindset and willingness to travel
• Physically and mentally fit, able to stand and walk for extended periods, capable of lifting 25 kg at shoulder height, and comfortable with heights and climbing ladders

• Significant overpayment possible depending on professional qualifications and experience
• Monthly allowance of up to EUR 1,350 net
• Bonuses of up to EUR 1,350 gross, depending on the amount of travel
