About the Position
As a Visiting Analyst in Portfolio Controlling, you will support the execution of our portfolio controlling processes and gain hands-on exposure to fund operations in a leading European venture capital firm. Working closely with the full team, you will contribute to maintaining high-quality data and reliable outputs across investment controlling, deal structuring, valuation support, and data management.
This is a paid, six-month position with the possibility of extension up to one year. The role sits at the centre of fund operations, with close collaboration across Investment, Legal, Finance, and Fund Reporting teams.
Your Responsibilities
- Support portfolio controlling processes and assist during reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Provide operational support during the execution of investment transactions
- Assist with financial analysis and modelling to support internal stakeholders and decision-making
- Review and help maintain capitalisation tables and waterfall models
- Support the accurate capture and entry of portfolio company transactions and assist in the operation of our internal portfolio management system
- Assist with valuation processes, including data preparation, analysis, and documentation
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (completed or ongoing) in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- First relevant experience through internships, academic projects, or extracurricular activities in finance, venture capital, consulting, or a similar environment
- Basic understanding of financial analysis and financial modelling
- Familiarity with venture capital dynamics, fund structures, and deal processes is a plus
- Eager to learn and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a structured, analytical mindset
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus

According to Austrian law we are required to state a minimum salary for this position. The expected minimum annual gross salary for this role, on a full-time basis is EUR 36,000.00 The salary will be a competitive package based on previous work experience, hence overpayment is possible.
